Lengua de FIL

1. One of my in-laws favorite food while having a vacation here in the Philippines. Creamy Lengua or the Ox Tongue.

Ingredients:

1 ½ k Ox Tongue

1pc onion, chopped

5 gloves, garlic minced

1 tsp salt

1 tsp whole pepper

½ slice of butter

1 can cream of mushroom

1 can whole kernel Corn

1 can slice mushroom

1 cans all purpose cream

½ cup grated cheese

1 tbsp salt

1 cup water

1. Wash the Ox Tongue and blanch in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and when it’s cool enough to handle, clean with the sharp knife removing the outer white membrane. 2. Place it again in 4 cups boiling water and put salt, whole pepper, bay leaf. Cover and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes or until tender. Add water as needed. 3. Remove the Ox Tongue and cool it down to a chopping board and slice into ¼” thick pieces. 4. Heat the butter and 2 tbsp olive oil in a heavy skillet sauté’ onion, garlic 1 can cream mushroom water and the cheese to thicken the sauce. 5. Add the slice the Ox tongue and make it simmer for 5 min 6. Add the remaining ingredients all purpose, slice mushroom, whole kernel corn. 7. And wait a few minutes and serve while it’s hot.

Ito ang mga bata na naglaan ng panahon para makisaya at maglaro ng Air soft Game. Sa sariling pag unawa alam nila kung paano protektahan ang sarili laban sa alin amin sakit na dadasinin nila sa laro. Kailangan nila mismu magsuot ng proteksyon . These are my boys preparing for air soft game. They wear safety gear for protection of their body and face. Being a kid they should know the responsibility to protect their self in any kind of trouble.

Friday July 17 is niece 10Th birthday. I almost forgot because my IL are still with me preparing for our dinner that night,while cutting some ingredients for the Palabok. I hear my cellphone ringing and then my sister is on the line telling me that their on they way to pick me up and we go out to my niece birthday blowout. We went to an exotic restaurant, this our some of the food we ordered.

The Pinaupong na Manok or fried chicken.It looks simple but taste good it has a lemongrass flavor and tender the souse is half sour and salty.

This is a Balot or Egg with chicks. The balot is good with the sizzling garlic flavor. This recipe is one the specialty of the Campampangan .

This is a frog one of the exotic recipe of the capampangan, a fried one with the vinegar in bowl. It is crispy and taste like chicken , the others cooked it in soup like tinola,chili leaves and ginger.

Portable sewing Machine

This portable sewing machine is Perfect for On-the spot Repair & Much More. It's hand-held and it's very convenient to use. My MIL brought this sewing machine from Guam. It's a gift from my BIL last Mother's Day. My hubby, being the joker that he is, keeps making fun of the sewer, he convinced everybody in the house to let him repair their damaged clothes. He even wore my eyeglasses to give it a full tailor effect. With the clothes on the table and the sewer right in front of him, he started tinkering with it and acted as if he really knew what he was doing. Everybody laughed as he went on with his funny moves. He was so serious, maybe that's what made it funny. My hubby can really bring a smile on someone's face. Anyways, he finished every repair with satisfactory results and his so called "customers" were quite pleased. A job well done.

Ang aking lahok sa linggo ito , Tuyong lupa at bakas ng paa. Sa panahong tag tuyot , ganito ang lupa na natutuyo sa aming lugar. Simula din ito ng mga kabataan para maglaro, mamasyal, maghanap ng summer job, paligsahan sa lugar.

Rainy Day Vacation

Finegayan Elementary School started it's vacation last May 29. That's my hubby's nephews, nieces and youngest brother's school in Guam. Since it's their vacation,they decided to spend it here in the Philippines. They've grown a lot since the last time they came here to visit. It's always exciting to see them, they are a lot of fun to be with. I wish the'll decide to spend every vacation here with us.
